Empowering Girls at Brasília Girlstown Brazil

The Sisters of Mary opened Brasilia Girlstown Brazil in 2002 to educate and care for young girls aged 12 to 18, from grades 6 to 9. These girls come from the poorest families across the country. After a difficult start in life, the girls find a safe and nurturing environment where they can enjoy their childhood, regain their health, succeed in school, and gain skills to build a brighter future for themselves and their families.

At Brasília Girlstown in Brazil, the girls are energetic and encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities. They receive full-time care, three nutritious meals a day, comprehensive healthcare, and access to excellent facilities. These include vocational training workshops, sports areas, a large gymnasium with a stage, and a dental clinic that serves both the students and the surrounding community.
