Our First Mission: Care for Those Who Cared for Us
For many graduates of the Sisters of Mary schools, the Sisters were far more than teachers. They cared for us, guided us, fed us, encouraged us, and gave us a safe place to learn and grow. They devoted their lives to helping children overcome poverty and build a better future.
Now, as some of our beloved Sisters grow older, we have an opportunity as graduates to return that love and care.
Our first mission as a global graduate community is to help support the Sisters’ Care Home in Korea, a place where aging Sisters of Mary can receive the care, comfort, dignity, and companionship they deserve.

Many of us can point to a moment when a Sister of Mary believed in us, encouraged us, taught us, or simply cared for us. As graduates, we have an opportunity to come together and say thank you—not just with words, but with something tangible.

Who will live in the new care home?
The home will serve elderly and aging members of the community of the Sisters of Mary who need assisted living, professional caregiving, dementia care, or hospice services.
Where will the care home be located?
The care home will be located in Busan, South Korea. The building formerly served as a Sisters of Mary orphanage for vulnerable children.
When will the home open?
The Sisters hope to complete the work and open the care home in March 2027.
Will my donation be matched?
Yes. A generous donor will match gifts dollar for dollar, up to a total of $500,000, while matching funds remain.
Will my gift affect support for the children?
This campaign will help the Sisters meet their growing elder-care responsibilities while continuing to provide food, shelter, education, medical care, and loving support to more than 20,000 children.
