Empowering Boys Through Education at Minglanilla Boystown Philippines

The Sisters of Mary began operations at Minglanilla Boystown Philippines in 1993 to provide a safe, supportive home for some of the most underprivileged boys in the country. Boys ages 11 to 18 receive full-time care, education, and vocational training—giving them a foundation to escape poverty and build a better future.

Students follow a well-rounded academic curriculum that includes science, mathematics, and languages, along with hands-on vocational training. They gain valuable technical skills designed to meet current industry needs. Training programs include electronics (with a focus on solar panel installation and servicing), computer-aided design (CAD), computer hardware servicing, and auto-mechanics—including electric vehicle maintenance.

These skills equip graduates with the tools they need to secure stable employment and pursue long-term, rewarding careers.

Healthy Childhood Through Sports and Hobbies at Minglanilla Boystown Philippines

At Minglanilla Boystown Philippines, the boys not only receive academic and vocational training—they also thrive through a full program of physical activities and extracurricular pursuits. Staying active is part of daily life, with sports like soccer, basketball, athletics, and table tennis helping to build teamwork, discipline, and confidence.

The boys also enjoy exploring a wide range of hobbies including music, gardening, and Arnis—a traditional Filipino martial art and cultural dance. These enriching activities allow them to experience the joy of childhood while developing well-rounded skills that support their personal growth.

All of this is made possible thanks to the generosity of people like you. Every child deserves the chance to grow up healthy, confident, and hopeful. With your support, the Sisters of Mary can continue providing life-changing opportunities to boys in poverty across the Philippines.
