Sisters of Mary Changing Lives in Guatemala
Guatemala has one of the highest poverty rates in Latin America. Chronic malnutrition leading to stunted growth is common in children throughout the region and lack of access to education negatively affects the ability of families to find productive employment to rise out of this poverty.
Thanks to our generous donors, the Sisters of Mary Guatemala are able to care for 2,100 boys and girls at the Boystown in Zona 6 and Girlstown in Zona 13, run a small daycare center for kids aged three to five, and a medical clinic that supports the school children and the poorest from the local community.
