Fr. Luke Prihoda on Fr. Aloysius Schwartz and the Sisters of Mary

by | Jul 28, 2025

In this episode of In The Pews, Fr. Luke Prihoda shares his testimony from a recent visit to Chalco, Mexico. He reflects on the life, mission, and legacy of Venerable Fr. Aloysius Schwartz, founder of the Sisters of Mary and World Villages for Children.

Fr. Prihoda is a diocesan Catholic priest with a heart for the poor. During the interview, he explains how Fr. Al’s life of sacrifice and service inspired his own vocation. Fr. Al dedicated his priesthood to caring for the world’s most abandoned children. As a result, he built schools, homes, and formation programs that continue to shape tens of thousands of boys and girls in dignity, faith, and discipline.

Today, Fr. Al’s mission lives on through the Sisters of Mary. These devoted religious women continue to welcome, educate, and care for the poorest of the poor in Boystowns and Girlstowns around the world.
