Building Brighter Futures at Zona 6 Boystown Guatemala

Just two years after launching their first village in Guatemala, the Sisters of Mary opened a second site—Zona 6 Boystown Guatemala—where the boys were transferred to continue their education. Today, the Sisters provide a safe and supportive home for 1,200 boys, giving them the opportunity to break free from poverty and build a better future.

At Zona 6 Boystown Guatemala, the boys receive a strong academic foundation with a focus on math and sciences. They also gain hands-on experience in carpentry, welding, computing, auto mechanics, and electronics. These skills align with local job market demands, ensuring the boys graduate with practical training that leads to stable, long-term employment.

A Holistic Education at Zona 6 Boystown Guatemala

The Sisters of Mary work closely with local employers to create job pathways for the boys at Zona 6 Boystown. Companies like Toyota even assist with specialized training in areas such as auto mechanics, helping the boys gain real-world, in-demand skills.

Beyond academics and vocational training, the boys enjoy a wide range of hobbies and extracurricular activities. They regularly participate in soccer, basketball, athletics, handball, dancing, and music. Many also develop a deep appreciation for art and their Mayan cultural heritage.

All of this is made possible through the generosity of people like you. Every child deserves a good start in life. With your support, we can continue to bring hope, education, and opportunity to boys in need.
