The Sisters Of Mary

The Sisters have been operating charitable programs for more than fifty years serving children with the greatest need who have the greatest potential. Meet Cristina

Tanzania

Kisarawe

My name is Christina. I am 15 years old.  I come from Dodoma. I am the second born of 5 children of a very poor family. I was abandoned by my parents when I was 5 years old due to a very bad condition. We are not having food in the table and permanent place to live in. Until then my life was very difficult. I do not know where to go. Somebody took care of me who is not my relative. She takes pity on me for I was roaming around in the dark.  I was taken by the Collegine Sisters Congregation to study primary school until I finished Standard-seven.

When I enter the Sisters of Mary I was impress by how they are living. By the way they pray, eating using spoon and fork. And the joyful life inside because outside we can only eat once a day. I really like most especially the environment which is very nice. We have good buildings and supportive environment which make me to study well. We have books, notebooks, pens  and complete uniform . By this experience I was able to create big dreams and worked hard for my future. I would like to be an aeroplane engineer. I want to fly planes and to travel  around the world. I will use the knowledge that I learn from the Sisters of Mary in order to be successful and to face the challenges of the real world.

Thank you so much for your generosity without your help I could not be the person I am now.  I am now a woman with great ambition. I will pray that God will give you more blessings  that you may inspire other children like me to have dreams also.
